Sage is a fresh herb from the mint family with a slightly bitter taste. It is a part of the so called ‘Herbes de Provence’, commonly used in the South of France and it is mainly used to flavor soups and stews.

Additionally,  it is a good ingredient to flavor oils and vinegars, to produce deli meats and sausages, and it combines well with meats such as pork, lamb and duck.
